Moo Light
- A nonsense poem
Inspired and in memory of Spike Milligan.
It's a big bright star, that the cloud obscures,
As the kids go walking in the night.
By the big barn door, there's a mouse asleep,
And it gets such a terrible fright!
There's a pale pink moon, and the air is fresh,
And the cows start moo-ing as they pass.
With a swish of tail, all the cows intend
Just to keep on eating up the grass.
There are frogs on logs, and they croak in time,
While the kids go swimming in the pool.
As they splash around, having such good fun,
All the fish are hiding where it's cool.
When the sun comes up, all the kids must go,
So their mums can wake them from their bed.
All the friends agree, as they say goodbye,
To ignore what the farmer had said.
