The National Wealth
- Thoughts on the decline of the NHS
It's got to change, but it's got to be funded. Let's hope
that the UK retains the essential nature of the National
Health Service.
Just how much do you value your health?
Is it the most important thing in your life?
Or does it just rank as second to your wealth?
Do you care who wields the surgeon's knife?
Well listen up people, they're killing the NHS!
Not any time soon, but the plans are clear to see.
We know a referendum is out, so the answer is yes!
We'll follow the Americans, and go back in history.
Don't worry, just go abroad for your operation.
No need to speak the language, no need to wait.
Don't hold your breath for a BUPA invitation.
They don't get our money from the state.
If I were you, I'd start saving for yourself.
Don't count on the government for medical aid.
Focus your bank account on your personal health.
It's going to be every man for himself, I'm afraid.
Nursing staff are skilled and the hospitals kept clean.
But you can't stretch those resources twice as far.
It has to change from the well-known system it has been.
Just so long as they remember who the patients are.
