The Word
- Girl who cannot say 'I Love You'
Quite personal. My girlfriend had gone through
a difficult split from her previous relationship and found it hard
to say that she loved me.
She cannot say the word
Though I want it to be said.
She will not say the word
Even though we are in bed.
She never says the word
And seems unable to see
That it's just one small word
But it means the world to me.
Why does she guard the word?
Never sharing it with me.
Only gaps where the word
Was so surely meant to be.
She cannot say the word
And it's tearing us apart.
So I'll just keep the word
All alone inside my heart.
