Considered Dangerous
- Nobody warned me how dangerous love is
Containing many useful words of warning, an obviously bitter
point of view about a love that did not work out. The examples
are deliberately ridiculous.
Swimming in a shark infested sea,
With decaying fish strapped to yourself,
Is considered dangerous.
Walking through a field of sex starved bulls,
Dressed as a cow with a bright red flag,
Is considered dangerous.
But nobody told me about you!
Rushing madly towards a cliff edge,
Clutching an anvil over your head,
Is considered dangerous.
Wetting both of your index fingers,
Thrusting them into a light socket,
Is considered dangerous.
But then not as dangerous as you!
I only wanted you to love me.
My heart was hoping that you would care.
Was that so ridiculous?
I opened my inner self to you.
I expressed my feelings towards you.
Was that so ridiculous?
Did you have to cause me so much pain?
Bring on the sharks, let them eat my flesh.
Enter the bulls, let them crush my bones.
Cannot hurt me any more.
Show me the cliff, smash against the rock.
Throw down the switch, let the current flow.
Cannot hurt me any more.
There is nothing left to be broken.
