Wrong Girl
- Always falling for the wrong girl
None of these are true episodes, but the overall theme is
something I can relate to.
Yes I fell in love with Tracey when I saw her at the park.
She had such lovely short black hair, and a body kept in trim.
I took up jogging to follow her, and panted on till dark.
But ended rather suddenly, I collapsed outside the gym!
Wrong girl, wrong time, wrong place!
Then it was I noticed Beverley, short skirt, legs crossed and blonde.
She was on the top deck and she seemed to smile as I passed by.
I sat beside her, touched her knee, and gave her time to respond.
And that she did with such a force that I nearly lost my eye!
Wrong girl, wrong time, wrong place!
Not deterred I talked to this girl at a party the next night.
We got on really well there, dancing close to all the slow tracks.
I invited her to my place, and gave it some subtle light.
But she slipped and broke her leg, as she slid along the floor wax.
Wrong girl, wrong time, wrong place!
As I left the casualty ward, I spied a gorgeous nurse there.
I went to ask about the hours that I could come to visit.
I put my arm around her waist as she stepped off from the stair.
I felt her knee thrust in my groin, so hard I could not miss it.
Wrong girl, wrong time, wrong place!
Well I learnt my lesson well, and was much more sweet with Sophie.
I took her out to dinner one night and walked her to her door.
We went out for a month or so, and I thought that she loved me.
But she just wanted to be friends, it was me that wanted more.
Wrong girl, wrong time, wrong place!
