Not Dead
- Those famous people live on
Obviously these statements are not true. It all started
when the first two lines came to me.
Kurt Cobain's not dead,
He's still around with a hole in his head.
James Dean lives in Poole,
He's a little older, but just as cool.
Bob Marley's still here,
He brings out a new record every year.
Bill Haley still plays,
With his comets, he could be the next craze.
Groucho Marx lives on,
Keeps the wise cracks coming, he's far from gone.
Joe DiMaggio,
Still hitting home runs, and has far to go.
Charles Schulz never slows,
Drawing Charlie Brown wherever he goes.
Salvador Dali?,
Still at it, painting watches in Bali.
Jon Pertwee still tries,
But the daleks may yet speed his goodbyes.
Peter Sellers, no
Jacques Clouseau works in Scotland Yard you know.
Benny Hill still runs,
After a flock of scantily clad nuns.
Mother Teresa,
Follows the path wherever it please her.
Frank Sinatra sings,
He may be old, but he aint got his wings.
Elvis Presley rocks,
He's down there tonight in Southampton docks.
