Lawn Rotavation
- I do love that gardening!
Yet more musings on my general dislike for gardening.
I need to get motivated
If my lawn is to get rotavated.
It has really gone to pot
Since I covered the lot
Last year
In intoxicating German beer.
It's just gone wild
Like the grass is some love child
Of the dandelion that grows
Wherever the earth shows
Through cracks
In the path it attacks.
The bush becomes a tree
As I prune it back, it laughs at me.
It knows it has me licked.
Now I wish I hadn't picked
That plant.
I try to kill it, but I can't.
And meanwhile next-door,
He is planting such lovely things galore
That it makes me quite mad
And wishing that I had
Some skill.
At least in my attempts to kill.
The time has now come to lower
My aim with a flame-thrower
An axe and a chainsaw.
The time has come for all-out war
Hey grass!
Your Armageddon has come to pass.
