Out Of Tune
- It all goes wrong on stage
I have never been in a band, but here are a few incidents that happened during an imagined early gig.

Something went wrong, at the start of the song.
The guitar had too many effects on.
He strummed it on time, but was just like a mime,
As the signal went through the delay line.

What we finally got, was more like a shot
Than the sound of a man with an axe.
It clashed with the drum, as he continued to strum
And they both started losing the plot.

He stamped on the pedal, switched back into metal
And soon we were back sounding great.
We were into our stride, on the hi hat and ride
The chorus, the break, instrumental.

The guy playing bass, stepped out of his place,
And knocked down half of the drum kit.
The drummer was nimble, caught hold of the cymbal
Kept time and a smile on his face.

When all of the locals, joined in on the vocals,
It was hard to tell who was in tune.
I waited no longer, joined in on the conga,
We had the crowd dancing for joy.

We had to adapt, when Rick's G-String snapped
And his face became stricken with pain.
We covered it well, but Rick's finger did swell.
He never has played quite the same.

So, not our best gig, but we're now selling big
We can fix it all up in the edit.
