Leaving On An Easy Jet Plane
- Bitter humour about her leaving
Not really funny, but it was more light-hearted than any of the other poems that night. It is a sorry tale with an evil twist at the end.

She's leaving, on an easy jet plane.
Don't think I want her back again.
I've had about as much, as I can stand.

It's over, and I'll be free again.
No need to worry where or when,
I can do all the things, I want to do.

Good riddance, I watch her fly away.
No part of me wants her to stay.
I need to heal myself, around her wound.

I stand there, till wheels have left the ground.
Wait for the welcome engine sound.
I want to wait until, completely sure.

I loved her, but she became so cold.
Bitter you watch the world unfold.
I was to blame for each, and every thing.

I bore it, thought it would surely end.
Despite the help, could not pretend.
I found you were much more, than I could bear.

It ended, on an easy jet plane,
Now it's you, that will get the blame
When they find what I put, inside your bag!

It's evil, but it made me feel good.
In a way that I knew it would.

Goodbye, goodbye, farewell, goodbye!
