Choice Of Paths
- Which way should we turn next
Each and evey day we are faced with decisions about which way to turn, whether to say yes, go to the party or do the work. Each decision leads us down a different path. Which one is right?

Things move on, our situations change.
The pieces remain the same, but you have to re-arrange.
What once seemed so shiny and new
Has become old and stale, and sits uneasily with you.

Things go on around us behind the scenes.
All those closed doors, and so many "might have been"s.
Opportunities abound, but just out of reach.
I feel the need to be taught, but there are few that can teach.

You never know where you're going, never know where you've been.
You never know where you're going, never know where you've been.

Who has the plan for the road ahead?
How much longer till the service station, where I get fed?
All these paths open up that look the same.
I turn round and find I'm lost inside my own video game.

They say that life has crossroads. I have my doubts.
As I appear to be caught on one of its larger roundabouts.
No signs showing the basic route or any exits.
I'm just wondering around which point this orbital orbits.

You never know where you're going, never know where you've been.
You never know where you're going, never know where you've been.

The grass can look greener on the other side.
From your own perspective, how are you supposed to decide?
Childhood dreams have left you, naivety has flown.
And all those other lives seem more interesting than your own.

You never know where you're going,
You never know where you've been.
You never know where you're going,
You never know where you've been.
