Let Me Hold You
- Thoughts of a lingering hug
Sometimes a hug can be better than anything else. Just to hold the one you love, and for them to hold you.

Just let me hold you in my arms tonight.
Don't want to go down the golden pathway.
I just want to share my body heat with yours.
No need to speak, there are no words to say.

Let me hold you all night.
Fold myself around you tight.
Let me hold you tonight.

I want to feel your breath on my neck right now.
The anticipation of your arms around my waist
Fills the heart of me with a bright electric glow.
Already in my mouth it is your skin I can taste.

Let me hold you all night.
Close my eyes in sheer delight.
Let me hold you tonight.

I want your heart to beat right next to my own,
To have the smell of your perfume on my shirt.
There is no need to kiss, and no need to undress.
Our hands will explore all there is in comfort.

Let me hold you all night.
Follow impulses by candlelight.
Let me hold you tonight.

I want our bodies to start to operate as one.
To bow my head and place it on your shoulder.
I want to feel the tenderness of your embrace,
To remain exactly as we are until we're older.

Let me hold you tonight.
