Don't Tell Me I Can't
- Be yourself if you can!
This is about exerting your right to do whatever you want as long
as it doesn't interfere with other's ability to do the same. It's about
walking around your flat naked if you want ... it's about ... well
you get the picture.
Don't tell me what I can and cannot do!
Don't tell me what to wear or what to say.
This is my life. Nothing to do with you!
This is just the way I am, and aim to stay.
Don't tell me what to think or book to read.
Don't expect me to back you up in all you do.
This is my mind. It's my head to feed.
This is the way I work, it's the way I grew.
Don't tell me what to eat or what to drink.
Don't correct what I speak, cos I don't talk right.
This is my path. I'll go the way I think
This is my way to live, and the way to buy it.
Don't tell me I've got to plan for my future.
Don't tell me I've got to buy myself a house.
This is my cash. I don't desire to be richer
This is who I am … until I get a spouse!
