Head Spin
- Can't think when you're near
Partly true recollections and feelings for a girl.
Yet another "never happened really" relationship.
There are very few people I have known, that can create within me
Such an electric, buzzing, expectant, warm feeling of attraction.
From just the briefest glance, or in the moments I recall your face.
When you smile, twisting spirals of elation put my head in a spin.
But you don't want some wide-eyed, sycophantic devotee.
You deserve to find someone strong, someone good and true.
I'm so sorry that when I'm near you, I just cant' think straight,
But I'm addicted to the thrill, and my feet can't touch the ground.
I love the way you still have that childhood zest for life.
I love the way you talk to me, with a wide smile on your face.
I love the time you kissed me, the day we parted at the station.
I love the time we stood in awe, as a speeding train came by.
But now you've moved away, I know I'll not see you again.
With just one blurry photo, and all those letters that you sent.
How I wish that I hadn't said all those stupid things to you.
How I wish you hadn't told me, all you wanted was a friend.
